Saco Beach Family Session ‘A’ Family

One evening this summer I met this adorable family at a private little beach for their Saco Beach Family Session. I have been photographing my own family sessions here for years, but it wasn’t until a few years ago when they added stairs that I was able to share this spot with clients.

This family of five came together for a photo session that was like a dream come true.

I was thrilled when I was selected as one of Real Maine Mom Blog’s favorite Portland Maine Family Photographers. It was truly an honor, and even more special that an image from this family session was chosen as the cover photo.

As we walked along the sandy shore, the kids ran and played, their laughter filling the air. Their joy and energy were infectious, and it was a pleasure to document their bond as a family.

The parents were relaxed and engaged, enjoying the simple pleasure of watching their children explore the beach. I photographed them as they held hands, hugged, and shared in the laughter and fun of the evening. It was clear that their connection was strong, and their love for each other shone through in every frame.

As I reflect on this session, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to do what I love – documenting special moments and creating meaningful memories for families. The Saco Beach Family Session will always hold a special place in my heart, reminding me of the magic that can happen when the perfect location, beautiful light, and a loving family come together.

When I delivered the final images to the family, they were thrilled with the results. They thanked me for capturing their memories so beautifully and told me that they would cherish the photos forever. It was incredibly gratifying to know that my work had brought them so much joy.

“I just had my family’s photos taken by Carrie recently, and it was such a great experience. Trying to capture photos of our three young children is never an easy task, so I was bit nervous with how the session may go. Right away Carrie made me feel so comfortable and relaxed with the entire experience. She was very personable and easy going. Whatever the kids threw at her she was able to just go with the flow and make it work, always reassuring me they were doing great. She played with the kids and pulled out all the tricks to get their best smiles. She even had a prize box at the end of the session for the kids to pick from! We’ve received the images back right away and they are amazing. The location Carrie picked was absolutely perfect. I love how she gets both posed and candids in her sessions.”
