When Michelle contacted me about capturing an extended family session, I was thrilled. Her whole family was planning a vacation together in Kennebunkport, Maine, so it was a perfect time. I’ve been fortunate to do many of these sessions lately, and I must say, they are quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
We decided on Drakes Island Beach for their photo shoot, and it was the perfect choice. The dunes and the light there were just magical. Despite the threat of rain, we decided to go ahead with the session, and I’m so glad we did. The weather cooperated, giving us a beautiful summer glow and no raindrops in sight.
One of the best moments of the session was when grandpa sat down, and the kids all gathered around him, covering him with sand. It was a truly heartwarming moment. One that I know they will look back on with fondness in years to come.
I’m so grateful to have been chosen to photograph this wonderful family. It was a pleasure getting to know them and spending time with them during our session. I only wish they lived closer, as I truly enjoyed our time together.
