Hello, amazing moms and families! As we step into 2024, I’m thrilled to share the exciting goals and plans for Carrie Pellerin Photography. Many Maine Photographers start planning out their business goals this time of year but I wanted to share how my goals will also be better for my clients like you. So here is a small list of business and personal goals.
Business Goals:
1. More available dates:
This year, I’m on a mission to connect with more incredible families like yours. My goal? To increase the number of sessions I take by 30%! My son starts kindergarten in the fall which gives me much more time to dedicate to my clients. Which means I have more availability this fall. (A time of the year that typically books up fast and early). I also have some amazing mini session planned. So sign up to be the first to know. I have a feeling these will sell out fast. 2. Family videos to collections:
We’re introducing family films to our collections, offering you a complete experience—capturing the rhythm of your life in a way that photos alone can’t quite do justice. All while providing you photos to print for your walls and give as gifts. This is something I have been dreaming of offering to clients for years.
3. Faster delivery turnaround:
You won’t be waiting long to relive your moments. Our goal is to deliver your beautifully edited photos and films within 14 business days or less. Because we understand the anticipation, and we’re as excited as you are to share the magic.
4. A Tangible Legacy:
Say hello to print proofs! We’re introducing this option for those who love the feel of a photograph in their hands. Think personalized decor, tangible memories, and a physical connection to the beautiful moments we’ve shared. There is something so special about seeing prints from your session.
Personal Goals:
1. Better time management:
This past year I did so much better with schedules and lists. I have found (for my personality) that lists are the key to success with me. If it makes the list I will get it done. I have also found that an old fashion pad of paper and a pen also make me more productive. Something about crossing stuff off. This year I plan to take it up a notch and try to make my plans on a monthly basis instead of weekly. This way I can try to do more tasks when I have free time.
2. Shoot more film:
A few years ago I shot almost entirely on film. I even made a video with my grandfathers old 8mm film camera. I loved the challenge of it all. Last year I shot maybe a roll or two. This year, instead of doing a 365 project I am planning to take 1 roll a month and use it up. I have dozens of film cameras so I also plan to switch out my cameras more. I have found over the years I have a LOVE for black and white film photos. So get ready for much more of those.
3. Finish editing my personal videos and photos:
Last year this was my goal and I got 2018, 2019 and 2020 done. I wanted to get more done but taking care of a little one full time and relaunching a business slowed me down a bit. I did also take on a small 6 week project that I was not expecting. So, this year I plan to finish 2021 & 2022 early and then try to get through 2023 before the end of the year. This is the year I want to be pretty much caught up!!!!
4. Consistency:
If I had to choose one word for next year it would be consistency. I want to start focusing on making small changes in my personal and professional life and sticking to it. I have always believed that it is the small things we do daily that make the biggest difference. From eating better to using my phone less it all takes small actions everyday. This is the year that I am truly planning to show up more for myself and my family.
